"The most stately thing and the fairest Cape we saw in the whole circumference of the earth" said Sir Francis Drake in 1580 of the landscape surrounding Cape Town.

And it is this "fairest cape" which beckoned Rotary International President Ray Klinginsmith to return to his alma mater, the
University of Cape Town, and to revisit his early Rotary days as an Ambassadorial Scholar in Cape Town.

Much more recently, in July 2010, Cape Town was a host city for the 2010 Soccer World Cup, an event which 'bowled over' not only those fortunate enough to call themselves "Capetonians" but also visitors from across the World.

The "Fan Walk", the first of its kind in the world, drew thousands of visitors with even those not attending the matches enjoying the electric atmosphere.
Googling 'Cape Town' will provide a wealth of information on things to do and see, inside information and a whole lot more. Wikipedia provides a good Cape Town reference and also includes a useful history section, climate stats and a wealth of geopolitical information.
